Why Apple's Tim Cook Has "Never Been More Optimistic" About The Brand's Future
Wama|March. 04, 2019
Unless you took a one-way ticket to another planet, you would know that there is a lot of pressure on Apple. Its 2018 line up of iPhones haven’t really caught the fancy of many, there are questions being raised over innovation and it has also been reported that 5G iPhone may get further delayed.
All this, however, hasn’t seen to have dampened the mood at Apple as it is gearing up to launch products that “will blow you away.” Not our words but that’s exactly what Apple CEO Tim Cook said that company’s annual general meeting.
According to a Bloomberg report, Cook told investors that Apple is “planting seeds and rolling the dice” on a line up of fantastic future products. There were a lot of revelations made by Cook and one of them was that Apple seems to be working on a more affordable variant of its MacBook devices. Interestingly, there was very little said about the iPhone but Cook quite expectedly spoke a lot of Apple’s Services business. According to the report, Cook told investors that Apple is on track to double its revenue from Services in 2020. In 2016, the revenue from Services business for Apple stood at $25 billion.

Cook also spoke about the Apple Watch and how the company is “pulling the string between wellness health.” While there was little spoken about the exact details about specific products, the message Cook seem to put across was that Apple is still very much in the innovation game and the upcoming products will be a testament to it.
While little is officially known about what Apple products we will see in 2019, rumour mill is churning out quite a few pieces of information. For starters, it is rumoured that the new AirPods may land as early as this month. As always the iPhones will come in September but before that new iPads and MacBook devices are also expected. Whether they “blow you away” or not remains to be seen.
