RAHEEM STERLING hilariously trolled teenager Phil Foden after the Manchester City became the youngest English player to score in the Champions League.
The 18-year-old netted his first European goal in the 7-0 demolition of Schalke but opened himself up to ribbing after his former college congratulated him online.
Foden’s old school St Bede’s College in Manchester tweeted: “What a goal by #BedianAlumnus @PhilFoden - creating a piece of History by being the youngest English Player to score in #ChampionsLeague.”
The midfielder responded in jest by claiming all those hours practising football rather than doing his homework was worth it to experience nights like this.
His City team-mate Sterling , ever the opportunist, weighed in with a tongue-in-cheek comment of his own to remind Foden of his age.
The former Liverpool star, who also netted in the Etihad romp, replied: "U still have school tomorrow go to bed now kid."

Foden took the joke in good faith, hitting back with a GIF of a child falling asleep saying ‘good night’, from the film Monsters Inc.
The Stockport youngster made it 23 appearances for the season for City against Schalke, as he continues to ascend to the first team under Pep Guardiola.
The City boss said: "People say Phil Foden doesn’t play too much. He is 18, it is his first season and he plays a lot of minutes already, a lot of games.
"The people say he should be on loan. Phil Foden is not going to be on loan. As long as I am here he will be close to me because he is an incredibly talented player.
"I am happy for him for his first goal in Europe, he has scored before in the in the cups and in the league. Congratulations for the minutes he played and the goal he took really well again."
