Breaking: Deal ruthlessly with bandits, kidnappers, others, Buhari orders security chiefs

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, April 11, met with service chiefs in a close door meeting at the State House around 11am.
After the meeting, the president asked the security agencies to be on top of the security situations in the country and deal ruthlessly with bandits, kidnappers, The Nation reports
The chief of defence Staff, Gabriel Olonisakin, briefed State House correspondents at the end of about two hours meeting with Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to him, the president said that no stone should be left unturned towards securing every part of the country.
The acting Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu said that the frequent kidnapping on the Abuja-Kaduna road have been tackled. He said that the route is now very safe.
The Nation had reported that matters at the meeting would focus on the security situation in the country and also mainly address the increasing banditry attacks in the northwestern states, killings in Kaduna state and kidnapping in other parts of the country.
NAF spokesman, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, April 10, in Abuja, said the operation was carried out on Monday.

The commissioner of police in the state, Mohammad Wakili, said the directive was to contain security threats.
DSP Abdullahi Haruna, the police public relations officer, disclosed in a statement sent to journalists on Wednesday, April 10, in Kano.
