Cwesi Oteng recounts how his kids were kidnapped from school

In recent times, there have been many cases of kidnappings and it has affected many families including that of celebrities
Ghanaian gospel artiste, Cwesi Oteng, has revealed that his three children were kidnapped sometime ago at their school premises.
According to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghanaweb, he explained that, although his children were kidnapped, the police advised him not to run to the media and the general public.
Speaking to Doctar Cann on Happy FM over the weekend, Cwesi Oteng said is noted to have said:
“My children were kidnapped for some hours, but they were found at a particular hotel. The police told me not to announce it to the general public and the media, because they claimed the woman who kidnapped my children was mad.”
Although the media fraternity in Ghana are very circumspect in their reportage, upon the advice given to Cwesi Oteng by the police not to inform the media for security reasons, this particular kidnap issue of Gospel musician Cwesi Oteng children eluded the media.
It is yet to be ascertained whetehr the children of the Pop Gospel singer have been found and whether the kidnappers requested for any form of ransom.
Cwesi Oteng is one of the most relevant gospel artistes in Ghana and Africa currently and widely known internationally for his brilliance in gospel music.
The one time African Gospel artiste of the year Cwesi Oteng indicated that, he has been married for 12 years and blessed with 3 children.
Meanwhile The families of the three kidnapped girls in Takoradi in the Western Region have threatened to sue the Ghana Police Service over the delay in finding the victims and also picket the Jubilee House.
The issue of the Takoradi kidnapped girls is one that has gained a lot of media prominence with a lot of state agencies working around the clock to return the ladies to their families.
The missing ladies are 18-year-old Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, last seen on 21 December 2018; 21-year-old Priscilla Blessing Bentum, last seen on 17 August 2018; and 18-year-old Ruth Love Quayson, last seen on 4 December 2018.
