Tottenham Defender Expected To Be Fit For Champions League Final
May. 15, 2019
Tottenham are confident defender Jan Vertonghen will be fit for next month's Champions League final against Liverpool.
Vertonghen suffered an ankle injury in the second leg of the semi-final comeback against Ajax and left the stadium in crutches and a protective boot and subsequently missed Spurs' last game of the season against Everton.
However, The Guardian reports that the Belgian is confident he will be fit for the Champions League final against Jurgen Klopp's side. Harry Kane (ankle ligaments) and Harry Winks (groin) are expected to be available but it remains unclear whether Davinson Sánchez (thigh) will make a return.
