Kyl-er blow PSG braced for Mbappe exit as club chiefs admit he may not renew current deal
Fofo Kwadzovi|July. 10, 2019
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are preparing themselves for life after Kylian Mbappe - as club chiefs admit the the striker may not renew his contract.
The France star, 20, is out of contract in June 2022, but bosses at the Ligue 1 champions may sell him to avoid losing their prized asset for nothing.
Mbappe is currently on the radar of both Real Madrid and Barcelona - who will now be on red alert after the latest revelation from Leonardo.
The PSG sporting director claimed: "There is no doubt whether Mbappe is a priority or not. He is very important for the club, there is no debate about it.
"Training on Monday, he arrived with a super attitude, a smile - as always.
"He is charismatic, people love him very much, it is important to have a player like him, young and smiling."
NEVER MAKE PROMISES
But on whether he would commit to another long-term contract at the club, Leonardo refused to confirm one way or the other.
He continued: "I never make promises, for two reasons. The first is that it's not me who does everything in this club.
"The second - I do not want to make a promise here without being sure to be able to sustain it.
"The only thing that interests me here and now, is the concrete."
Meanwhile, Mbappe's "celebrity" team-mate Neymar could well be on the way out of the club this summer- after he failed to show up for pre-season training .
The Brazilian has made it all too obvious he wants to return to Barcelona - and skipping training may have been the final straw.
PSG - who have already vowed to remove the "celeb culture" from the club called his latest stunt "deplorable" and have vowed to take "appropriate measures".
But the AWOL star didn't seem too bothered in a new advert alongside Cristiano Ronaldo in which he boxed, wrestled and played table tennis with the Juventus star.
