Dani Parejo fires a shot at Peter Lim in farewell message to Marcelino
Sept. 11, 2019
It didn't take long for members of Valencia's squad to comment on Marcelino Garcia Toral's sacking today. Unsurprisingly one of the first to comment was the club captain Dani Parejo. His message was naturally emotional and came across as if he didn't understand or agree with the decision.
"Mister, I wish you all the best. I'm sure that everything will go well for you, wherever you go, and that they let you work. Thanks for making this club even greater and for making me a better footballer," Parejo posted on Twitter.
The talented midfielder has been accused of lacking the consistency and desire to succeed at the highest level but led by example under Marcelino. He was crucial to their Copa del Rey victory over Barça and in turning the club's fortunes around in LaLiga.
