Oct. 12, 2019
The US State Department has approved the sale of 21 Beechcraft T-6C Texan II turboprop trainer aircraft to Tunisia, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced on 11 October.
It said the proposed deal was estimated to be worth USD234 million and covers related equipment, including spare engines and support services.
"The proposed sale will replace Tunisia's ageing trainer fleet and allow Tunisia to continue training pilots to support Tunisia's counter-terrorism and border security missions," it said.
