Roberto Firmino In Rumoured Barcelona Transfer Plan To Replace Luis Suarez
Oct. 13, 2019
Barcelona have reportedly included Roberto Firmino on a shortlist of forwards to replace Luis Suarez, but there is still good news for Liverpool.
Suarez remains one of the most feared strikers in world football and has started the new season in strong form, scoring six goals in eight games across all competitions so far, The UK Express reports.
But at 32 years of age, Barcelona are on the lookout for another striker to come in with an eye at being his long-term replacement.
The La Liga giants have proven over the past two years that they’re prepared to splash the cash having spent £108million on Philippe Coutinho and £112m on Ousmane Dembele.
Coutinho has since gone out on loan while Dembele has struggled with injuries this campaign so far.
They have recently brought in Antoine Griezmann in another deal which cost in excess of £100m, although he has predominantly been used on the left-wing.
And according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are on the lookout for another striker to join their ranks.
Firmino is mentioned in a four-man shortlist including Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford and Kylian Mbappe
