Don’t expect young to pick up bill for baby boomers’ care

The general election was meant to be about Brexit. But so was the last one and things didn’t quite work out as planned. The reason why this happens lies in the name: it’s a general election. All parties have to produce manifestos with a range of policies for government. After all, a five-year term of nothing but Brexit would drive even the most ardent Leave voter to despair.
So what’s the big non-Brexit priority in this election? It is to spend more money (a lot more in the case of the Labour Party) and focus it on my generation, the baby boomers.
