WhatsApp has announced that it will stop providing services for Windows smartphones.
The popular messaging app that is used by billions of people around the world has revealed that it is currently available on select Windows smartphone and it will stop being available on December 31.
The popular app said that majority of people will no longer be able to use WhatsApp in all Windows Phone operating systems after December 31, 2019, and WhatsApp might not be available in the Microsoft Store after July 1, 2019.
WhatsApp has also announced that the end of support doesn’t end there; it will also stop working on several Android smartphones and iPhones in the coming months.
From February next year, individuals using Android versions 2.3.7 and older will no longer be able to create new accounts, or reverify existing accounts.
This will also apply to iPhones running on iOS 8 and older because users will also subjected to find for other alternatives.
