Australian Open 2020 Draw: A battle between World No. 2 Novak Djokovic and World No. 3 Roger Federer is possible in the semi-finals of the men's singles event.
The draw for the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open 2020, is out. World No. 1 Rafael Nadal has been drawn in the same bracket as Nick Kyrgios, with a match-up possible as early as in the Round of 16. The Spaniard could also face Dominic Thiem in the quarter-finals of the competition. Nadal is the top seed while Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer are No.2 and No.3 respectively.
Djokovic will begin his campaign with the first match against Jan Lennard Struff. The popular opinion is that Federer has been handed the easiest of draws in men's singles event. The 20-time grand slam winner will begin his campaign against Steve Johnson of USA but could come up against Djokovic in the last four.
Australian Ashleigh Barty the No. 1 seed in women's singles competition. She will be up against Lesia Tsurenko in the opener. Serena Williams, meanwhile, will open her account against Anastasia Popatov. Venus Williams vs Coco Gauff in the first round is one of the most talked-about fixtures that have come as far as the women's singles draw is concerned.
