HAALAND ARRIVES! New Dortmund Striker Smashes In Hat-Trick After Coming Off Bench
Jan. 18, 2020
Manchester United fans the world over would have let out a collective sigh of disappointment as the player they were certain of signing scored a hat-trick on his debut...for his new club.
The young Norwegian striker made a name for himself in the UEFA Champions League this season, scoring many goals as Red Bull Salzburg made a strong case for Round of 16 progression.
Haaland, who was born in Leeds, played for current United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde back when he was just 16 and it was this connection that fans of the Old Trafford club hoped would bring him to Manchester. When the transfer window opened, he snubbed United for a move to Borussia Dortmund, leaving fans of United with a bad taste in their mouths.
Today, the young striker was brought onto the pitch with Dortmund trailing 3-1 but within 3 minutes, he had opened his account with his first touch. The young striker went on to add two more goals and complete his hat-trick as Dortmund beat Ausburg and keep their title chase up.
