Also, we are oblivious of the fact that the emergency feature on our phones allow us to register numbers that can easily be contacted during unforeseen circumstances such as accidents or even phone theft.
On so many occasions, when people rescue accident victims, most especially the men of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC and police often complain that they couldn't access victim's locked phone for necessary information and contacts.
For those who are yet to get familiar with this feature, on your locked screen when you tap the screen, it brings out the text 'verify fingerprint or enter password'.
Below the text is emergency, tap on it after which it brings another page that has 'emergency information.' You are to double tap on the emergency information.
The next page has 'Emergency information with a pencil symbol located at the top right corner of your phone.
This feature can also be used in cases of missing phones. You can easily contact friends or family of the person who lost the phone through the above procedure.
But it is pertinent to note that, one must ensure that the emergency information must be done by phone owners which takes less than three minutes to be done.
