Mother And Son Escape House Fire In Honey Creek

HONEY CREEK, Iowa - A fire overnight in Honey Creek, Iowa left a mother and son without a home.
WOWT 6 News reports three departments responded to the fire and it took them about 45 minutes to get the fire under control. Investigators say it started in the front corner of the house and spread to the attic.
The fire didn't cause damage to the interior of the house but there is smoke and water damage. The house is unlivable.
Everyone made it out safely, including the family's cat.
