Another day has come and gone where Manchester United have proceeded to render their fans speechless with a terrible performance.
United went down 2-0 at home to Burnley in a match which gave them the opportunity to close the gap on Chelsea to 3 points but they ended up going 6 behind.
To make matters worse, fans left the stadium very early as the contest was still ongoing, showing visible frustration at the lack of perceived drive and ambition from a club they used to worship.
Last night, if you went on social media, you would have seen a particular hashtag trending and that was the one calling for the head of the United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The United legend has seemingly lost the support of the majority of the fanbase.
Should Manchester United sack the Norwegian tactician? And if they do, who should they bring in to replace him? Let's explore both options so you can make your choice below.
OPTION #1 Sack Ole
If Manchester United were to pull the plug on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's short tenure as coach, they would make a majority of their fanbase happy. He has been bashed by large sections of United's fandom who believe he doesn't have what it takes to coach their club. Big-name managers like Max Allegri and Mauricio Pochettino are currently available, leaving Ole's position very perilous.
OPTION #2 Keep Ole
Manchester United's last option to have faith in a manager who made a slow start resulted in Sir Alex Ferguson's legendary 26-year spell which brought numerous trophies to the Manchester club. Ole may not be showing any signs of brilliance and drive as Sir Alex did but who knows? He did play under the great man for almost a decade.
What do you think? Should Manchester United keep Ole and have faith in his long-term plan or should they let him go and bring someone else in? Let's hear your thoughts and comments down below.
