Manchester United are reportedly preparing a £160million double swoop for Jack Grealish and James Maddison this summer.
Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has promised that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be backed this summer in a bid to make United capable of challenging for the Premier League title once again.
Solskjaer looks set to lose Paul Pogba to either Real Madrid and Juventus- but the proceeds from the sale of the £160million-rated midfielder are expected to be ploughed back into improving the Red Devils squad.
And that will help fund moves for Aston Villa midfielder Grealish and Leicester City man Maddison, according to The Sun.
The publication says United will launch a £90m bid for 23-year-old Maddison.
The attacking midfielder is in talks with Leicester over a new deal, but United are prepared to double what's being offered by the Foxes by tabling a £200,000-a-week contract.
United signed Bruno Fernandes for an initial £47m in the January transfer window, but Solskjaer will look to further boost the engine room with the addition if £70m-rated Grealish.
Grealish, 24, has been with Villa since the age of six, but the Premier League strugglers are braced for plenty of interest in their captain this summer.
He and Maddison are close pals, and Solskjaer will hope their friendship can help persuade them both to link up at Old Trafford.
