Feb. 16, 2020
Chelsea are reportedly poised to complete a £23million deal for Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino this summer.
The Blues, who had their transfer ban lifted ahead of the January window, have already agreed a bargain £36.7m transfer to sign Hakim Ziyech from Ajax in the close season.
The Daily Express claim former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants to offload the Uruguary international to fund his own transfer plans ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
Everton are also believed to be interested in tying up a deal for Vecino, who has spent seven seasons in Italy.
The Premier League giants are also interested in signing Borussia Dortmund’s teenage sensation Jadon Sancho.
The former Manchester City youngster is expected to leave Signal Iduna Park in the summer, and could become the most expensive English player in history.
Speaking to talkSPORT last week , German football reporter Kevin Hatchard stated his belief that the England winger is easily worth £118m ahead of the next transfer window.
Jadon Sancho ‘one of the most exciting talents in Europe and worth €140million’ , says German football expert Kevin Hatchard
“The finances for Dortmund make sense; we’ve seen them do that with Ousmane Dembele, they will sell players on if they get the right price for them,” he told The Sports Bar .
“The Premier League is a possibility and I think Chelsea would be interested and he’s got a soft spot for them.
“Personally I think if somebody bid in the region of €140m, I think that’s a fair price.
“If you look at what players go for now, and at the fact Dortmund agreed a new contract with him and that several clubs will go for him, I don’t think €140m is unreasonable.”
