Mining company fined $1.5m for power theft at Tarkwa.

Mohammed mining company a mining company based in Tarkwa has been caught by the electricity company of Ghana for illegal connection.
The task force were given a tip off by some individuals and decided to pay the mining company an unannounced visit. Upon their arrival they noticed the company’s power was from the main source without the consent of ECG.
Benjamin Quaecoo who is the western regional public relation officer of the electricity company praised the revenue protection team for their level of professionalism ad the early response they got when the information was being given to them.
