FC Porto and Malian striker Moussa Marega walked off the pitch after suffering racist chants in a league game on Sunday.Troubled started for Marega when he pointed at his skin after scoring Porto’s second goal in a 2-1 win at Guimarães in the Portuguese football league.Racist chants were head through the game and when Marega couldn’t stand it anymore, he started walking off the pitch with both sets of players trying to hold him not to; something he was not going to listen to.Porto coach Sérgio Conceição also went on the field and spoke with Marega. It took Marega several minutes to leave the field.
The upset player held his thumbs down at the crowd as he went into the tunnel to the changing rooms. The crowd responded with loud jeers.The attitude of both the fans and other players has drawn criticism on social media.We are indignant about what has happened.
