Barcelona Deny Criticizing Players On Social Media.

Spanish La Liga Champions Barcelona have denied trying to boost the image of club president Joseph Maria Bartomeu by hiring a company that criticised current and former Barcelona players, including Lionel Messi, on social media.
Barcelona released a statement yesterday that denies any relations with the claims. Furthermore, the contracting of services linked to social network accounts that have spread negative messages or disdain in relation to any person, entity or organisation that has or has had a relationship with the Club.
One of the messages that one of the report shows is one expressing anger towards Barcelona star Messi because of his delay in signing a new contract and another one questioning Pique's involvement in the Davis Cup.
The statement shows that Barcelona hires social media monitoring services to keep track of posts written about the club.
Barcelona have also threatened to take legal action against any media organisations that continue to involve the club in this type of practice.
Barcelona will play Eibar at home in La Liga this Saturday before facing Napoli away in the UCL and later face Real Madrid in the league at the Santiago Bernabeu.
