Arsenal's boss Mikel Arteta has revealed the club has not made any discussion about whether the club will keep Dani Ceballos once his one-year loan deal expires.
Ceballos joined Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid last summer, signing a contract until the end of the season.
And during a press conference on Thursday, Arteta was asked about the future of the midfielder and whether talks had commenced with Madrid about the possibility of keeping him beyond his one-year loan deal.
"No, we haven't had any discussion about it," Arteta said.
"I am really happy with Dani, what he is bringing to the team right now."
"He took him a while since his injury to get to the level that he has and I have seen in the past. He is performing much better now and that's why he is playing much more games."
The Gunners will take on West Ham United over the weekend in a Premier League encounter.
