Arteta Gives An Update On Mkhitaryan's Future At Arsenal
March. 08, 2020
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta insists that Henrikh Mkhitaryan still has a future under him at Emirates according to reports.
Mkhitaryan was shipped out on loan to Serie A outfit Roma in the summer of 2019 when Unai Emery was still at the helm of Arsenal.
The 31-year-old has since scored six goals and provided four assists from 17 appearances for Roma across all competitions but his season has been dampened with continuous injury woes.
However, Arteta has assured that the Armenian still has a future at Arsenal and will be looking to recall him next season as he works on a possible role for him in the team.
“It’s a possibility that we have and will consider,” Arteta said. “I always liked him, he is the kind of player who can fit in any team when he is at his best. “He needs to do it consistently and here he had moments and that’s what we need to assess."
“Miki is doing really well in recent games. We know the player he’s been, we know his past, and we need to have all the information to make the right decision.”
