Confusion Over Juventus vs Lyon Match Following Serie A Suspension
March. 10, 2020
Juventus' Champions League return leg tie against Lyon is expected to go on as planned despite the Italian government suspending the Serie A.
The government moved to prevent the spread of the deadly Corona Virus, which has affected the country with more than 9,172 cases reported and 463 deaths.
According to the Italian giants, the match will go on as planned as it falls outside of Italian National Olympic Committee's remit.
However, it is not clear on where the game will take place, although, at last check, it’s expected to be played behind closed doors at the Juve Stadium.
Juventus are trailing 1-0 from the first leg played two weeks ago in France, and will be forced to do so without the 12th man at their famous stadium.
A number of other European ties have been affected by the virus, with PSG vs BVB, Sevilla vs Roma, and Olympiacos against Wolves all affected.
