EUROPA League: Getafe Refuse To Travel To Inter Milan Over Corona Virus Fears

Getafe will not travel to honour their UEFA Europa League tie against Inter Milan due to the Corona Virus scare.
Italy is Europe's most hit country, and all sporting events including the Serie A have been suspended as a way of preventing the spread of the virus.
European matches don't fall under the Italian National Olympic Committee, and the first leg tie between the Spanish side and Inter was not affected.
Getafe's president Angel Torres vowed on Tuesday not to allow his side to travel, saying it will be risking the players and officials.
“If we have to lose the tie, we will lose it,” Torres told Onda Cero radio.
“We have asked UEFA to look for an alternative to play in Milan. We don’t want to go into the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak.
“Under no circumstances are we going to put our health at risk. Unless things change tomorrow, Getafe will not travel to Italy," he added.
English side Wolves also confirmed that a request to have their match against Greek side Olympiacos postponed has been turned down and the match will go on as planned albeit behind closed doors.
A number of European matches have been affected by the virus, with many taking the now all familiar route of playing behind closed doors.
