March. 28, 2020
England musician, Cy Tucker who performed with The Beatles, has died due to complications from the coronavirus.
The music legend passed on at the age of 76.
According to Liverpool Echo, the artist started showing COVID-19 symptoms after playing a gig a week and a half before, and he's the first coronavirus-related death in Liverpool. Tucker was considered "high risk," as he had a history of heart problems and diabetes.
Meanwhile, his family said the loss was more heartbreaking as it was the deadly virus that took him.
"As a family, we are devastated at the sudden loss of our husband, father-in-law, grandfather, brother and friend who touched so many lives through music. What makes his loss even more heartbreaking is the fact that it could have been so easily avoided had it not been for coronavirus.
''In less than a week, we have gone from having a healthy and energetic man to one who is no longer here," the family members said in a statement.
Tucker started singing when he was about 10 years old, before performing at p*bs starting as young as 13. He went on to play with legends such as the Beatles, Cilla Black and more stars from the sixties.
