75 Year Old Woman Nearly Burnt To Death In Koforidua Zongo

A house at Koforidua Zongo in the New Juabeng South Municipality in the Eastern Region has been gutted by fire, leaving four families homeless.
The fire which started around 5:30 pm destroyed the personal belongings of the families. The list of items includes television sets, home theaters, mattresses, fridges, sound systems, clothes and wardrobes among a tall list of others.
Speaking on how the fires started, landlord Alhaji Basiru Inusah told reporters that the fires started in his absence, he only met his house in an inferno.
“I was not at home but when I was called, I quickly rushed to the house and saw smoke on top of the building. Initially, I thought it was just one room burning but when I got closer, I realized it was coming out from my own house, then I started shouting on top of my voice for help” he lamented.
He further mentioned that but for the timely intervention of members of the community, a 75-year-old woman, Bushira Inusah would have been burnt to death.
