German Bundesliga's Bayern Munich have successfully completed the signing of attacking winger Leroy Sane from England's Manchester City. Reports in German indicate that the 24 years old sensational winger has accepted a five years contract deal with the recently crowned Bundesliga champions. A deal that could see him potentially play for Bayern Munich until 2025 as an attacking winger. The initial cost of Leroy Sane's transfer to Germany stands at €49 million , with a possibility to rise to €60 million with add ons.
While reacting to their new acquisition, Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge expressed his delight at finally having acquired the services of a player they had been linked with since the end of the 2018-2019 season. He was full of praise for Sane, terming him as an outstanding player who has continuously proven his qualities over the past years both at club and international levels. He further added that with their goal being to bring aboard Fc Bayern the best players in German, the signing of Leroy Sane only serves to emphasize that particular goal.
And with the presence of Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman as their well established wingers, the addition of Leroy Sane is bound to bring the much needed depth in a team that seeks to fully dominate German football. A move that saw Hassan Salihamidzic, FC Bayern's sporting director, emphasize the importance and strength that Leroy Sane is bound to bring to the club. He further termed Sane as  difference-maker who is bound to strengthen the Bundesliga champions even further. That the team would now be better equipped and at a very high level in their wide positions on field.
Hassan further thanked Manchester City for being such good negotiators and for trusting in constructive negotiations about the player at a time when the Covid-19 pandemic was proving costly for clubs. That despite the difficult financial circumstances that clubs are currently faced due to the virus, the two clubs were able to fully negotiate such a top class player. Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola termed Bayern as a fantastic former club of his, even as he wished Leroy Sane the best of luck in his new endeavors. Manchester City acquired the services of Sane from FC Schalke back in 2015 for an estimated €37 million. And even though he goes out now for a slightly high amount, City have acquired a profit as compared to releasing him on a free transfer.
