Fans convinced Solskjaer told Nathan Ake Man Utd ‘need a left-footed centre-back’ after Bournemouth win
Jul 6, 2020
CHEEKY Manchester United fans were left excited after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a post-game chat with Nathan Ake on Saturday.
After the Red Devils smashed Bournemouth 5-2 at Old Trafford , the TV cameras picked up on the Norwegian saying something in Ake's ear.
It prompted some fans to believe that Solskjaer had told the defender that there was a space for him at the club.
United supporters online pondered whether the boss had said: "We need a left-footed centre-back, keep going."
Others disagreed, pointing out that Solskjaer in fact consoled the Dutchman by remarking: "You need a bit of luck from your centre-backs, just keep going."
A new centre-back is reportedly a target for Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer market opening.
Although Bournemouth star Ake has not been talked about as a potential target as much as Kalidou Koulibaly or Milan Skriniar .
The Serie A pair are thought to be available for around £ 65million to £70m , fees far higher than the Cherries would perhaps demand for their defender - particularly if relegated from the Premier League.

Some fans online were interested in the idea of swooping for Ake, 25, with Harry Maguire currently occupying the left-centre-back role .
