Jul 13, 2020
Some ex-militants in Ondo State axis of the Niger-Delta have given both the Federal and the Ondo State governments seven-day ultimatum for their unpaid entitlements to be settled.
The ex-agitators, under the auspices of ‘Action Crocodile Group’, led by ‘General’ Felix Bowei, aka Kakadukuduku 1 of the Niger-Delta, gave the ultimatum at a press conference in Ore, Odigbo Local Government of Ondo State.
The ex-militants lamented the continued exclusion of some their groups from the amnesty programme.
They emphasized that since they submitted their arms and ammunition, the Ondo State Government has failed to redeem its pledge.
Bowei stressed that government deviated from the original plan by paying some of them, leaving the majority to their plight, adding that most of them were shut out of the government largess during the last Christmas and Easter festivities.
