It is the unpleasant odor present in the breath and it can be categorized into genuine and non-genuine cases. In most of the genuine cases of bad breath, the odor arises from the mouth. However, in non-genuine cases, the odor is caused due to disorder in the stomach, esophagus, throat, sinus, nose, tonsils and lungs. Bad breath is considered as an indication of the poor condition of health. Here are some home remedies to get rid of bad breath. 
1. Oil pulling with coconut oil

You will need one tablespoon of coconut oil
Method: Take a tablespoon of coconut oil, put it in your mouth and swish it around for about 10 minutes. Do not swallow it. Spit it out. Take some lukewarm water and rinse your mouth. Do this every day in the morning before you brush your teeth. Make sure that you spit out the oil after use in the garbage and not on any of your home sinks as the toxic content may start eroding the surface.
