Reports have it that the ‘Already’ song on which American Pop star Beyonce featured Shatta Wale is currently topping iTunes music video charts in the United States.
It also recorded the most-watched video for this week on social media platforms such as Instagram despite the fact that it was released just 2 days ago before the premiere of Beyonce’s Black is King movie.
On YouTube, the new music video which was partly shot in Ghana recorded over a million views in just 10 hours of its release and has reached over 6 million in 2 days.
As it stands, a lot of f music lovers in Ghana consider Shatta Wale’s collaboration with Beyonce as the biggest collaboration in the Ghana music industry which has caused most of his colleagues including his rivals to salute him.
Politicians such as the Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah in a social media post described it as a great achievement and also congratulated the dancehall king for putting Ghana on the map.
The likes of Stonebwoy and D-Black as well as Sarkodie have all sent their congratulatory messages to Shatta Wale with a lot of people taking to social media to troll the haters of the dancehall king.
To a lot of the fans of Shatta Wale, the image of him being a local champion has now been taken off him and has been thrown at rapper Sarkodie because most of his collaborations are local and that the announcement he made about featuring a top artiste in the US who is bigger than Jay Z has turned out to be a lie.
For now, there is no choice than to call Shatta Wale ‘King’
