Nicki Minaj’s Husband Allowed To See Birth Of Child
Aug. 02, 2020
A judge has granted permission for Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, to attend their child’s birth after he submitted a request to alter his pretrial release conditions.
According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Kenneth Petty was cleared by a judge in California to have his bail restrictions loosened to allow him to leave his residence for the birth.
The judge ordered Petty will remain on “location monitoring” but will have ‘not residential restrictions’.
Kenneth, who was written up 18 times from 2006 to 2013 while he was serving time for a manslaughter conviction in New York, is currently under house arrest and roams around with an ankle monitor after he pleaded not guilty to the charges of failing to register as a s*x offender in California.
But he will now be able to travel with Minaj, 37, ‘periodically on business trips as her manager,’ which will ensure he is present when she goes into labour, according to TMZ.
Other pretrial conditions will stay in place, meaning Petty cannot use illicit substances and he will continue to wear an ankle monitor, the publication reported.
The couple who both got married in 2019, announced that they were expecting their first child together via Instagram earlier this month.
