Talks ‘intensify’ between Tottenham and Inter Milan over summer deal for Manchester United and Liverpool target Milan Skriniar

Aug. 07, 2020

Talks between Tottenham and Inter Milan over a deal for Milan Skrinar have reportedly intensified.
The 25-year-old has been linked to several clubs this summer including Spurs’ Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United.
The centre-back has been a first-team regular for Inter this season but has recently fallen out of favour with Antonio Conte, starting just once in the past five games.
Tuttosport, via Sport Witness , claim Skrinar ‘could be sacrificed’ if Inter got a player in return.
There has reportedly been some interest from the Serie A club in Tanguy Ndombele but a deal is nowhere close to being done.
Tottenham are in the market for defensive reinforcements following Jan Vertonghen’s departure at the end of his contract.
The Skrinar situation is likely to be linked to whether Conte stays or goes as Inter’s manager.
Reports in the Italian media suggest a bust-up with bosses at the club, which could well see him replaced.
Andros Townsend reveals how players' wages can caused unrest in dressing rooms, as it did for him at Tottenham and Crystal Palace
Conte is not thought to be a fan of Skrinar but if a new coach comes in then that could well change the situation.
The centre-back joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2017 and has played 127 times during his three years at the club.
