BACKGROUND
Tiwatope Savage popularly known as Tiwa Savage a Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress who was born on 5th February 1980 in Isale Eko, Lagos state and at the age of 11, she relocated to London.
EDUCATION
Tiwa Savage had her secondary education in London.
She studied Accounting in the University of Kent.
She graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in professional music in 2007.
CAREER
She started her musical journey quite early as she was a trombone player for her school's orchestra band while in secondary school.
Savage sings both in English and Yoruba and her music is a blend of Afrobeats, R&B, pop and hip-hop.
At the age of 16, She did backup vocals for English singer George Michael and lent vocals to other musicians including Mary J. Blige, Blu Cantrell, Emma Bunton, Chaka Khan, Kelly Clarkson, Ms. Dynamite and Andrea Bocelli.
After her university education, she started working at The Royal Bank of Scotland.
In 2006, Savage took part in the X Factor, United Kingdom edition and made it to the top 24 but was the 12th person to be evicted.
In 2009, Savage signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing which allowed her to write for Mýa, Babyface, Fantasia, Monica and Kat Deluna.
In 2010, Her collaboration with Fantasia on the song "Collard Greens & Cornbread" was nominated as the American recording artist by Grammy . She also performed background vocals on Whitney Houston 's album I Look to You.
In 2012, she came back to Nigeria and signed with Mavin Records after being inspired by the growth of theNigerian music industry.
In 2012, Tiwa Savage was featured on the remix of "Oyi" and she recorded her own version of the song before collaborating with the music star, Flavour.
She also performed her rendition of the first stanza of the Nigerian anthem "Arise, O Compatriots" for Ndani sessions in the celebration of the 52nd anniversary of Nigeria's independence.
In may 2013, she held an album listening party at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Ikoyi, where she revealed the entire track list of the album titled " Once Upon a Time " which featured Iceberg Slim, General Pype and Sarkodie. And
On 3rd July, the album was released and was nominated for Best Album of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and Best R&B/Pop Album at The Headies 2014.
In May 2019, she announced her withdrawal from Mavin Records and her record deal with Universal Music Group.
FAMILY LIFE
Tiwa Savage got married to Tunji "Tee Billz" Balogun on 23rd November 2013 traditionally at the Ark in Lekki and on 26th April 2014, they had their white wedding at the Armani Hotel in Dubai.
Two years into their marriage they had their first child, a son and On 28 April 2016, Balogun accused his wife of infidelity and his mother-in-law of witchcraft.
Though it was reported that the music star, Tiwa Savage denied her husbands accusations of being unfaithful accusing him of drug addiction and financial flaws.
HOUSES OWNED
•It was reported that Tiwa Savage owns a mansion and has a street named after her in Lekki, Lagos.

It has been reported based on findings that Tiwa Savage's networth is estimated to be about $ 4.8 Million US dollars which is equivalent to a great fortune in naira.
