Liverpool will miss the services of their captain Jordan Henderson when they host Arsenal at Anfield on Monday, September 28.
The 30-year-old was said to have picked up a knock during his side's 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Matchday two.
He was forced off the pitch mid-way into the encounter with new signing Thiago Alcantara taking over for the remainder of the game.
According to Daily Mail, Henderson's absence could see the Spaniard start his first match for the Reds in a few days' time, having already impressed on his debut against the Blues.

The German-born tactician while answering questions from the media said he is waiting on some of his stars to recover after their 7-2 triumph over Lincoln City in the EFL Cup third-round clash.
"We will see. We have a few days to train, some players have to recover from last night (the 7-2 Carabao Cup win over Lincoln), but he is in contention,' said manager Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp also revealed that he could start Joe Gomez in the centre-back position - allowing Fabinho who played the position last weekend return to his original wing.
