“It’s been tough and frustrating staying four months without salaries,” Sunday said.
“It’s difficult meeting up with my family needs, not to talk of giving to others. Friends have been helpful, while some management staff and directors give some players stipends.”

“It was becoming very tough for me coping without being paid, so I needed to move on,” Alimi said.
Meanwhile, The Chairman of Ondo State Football Agency, Tajudeen Akinyemi, has assured that the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, will pay the outstanding salaries of the players.
He said, “I have spoken with the governor and he said he was going to pay them. We know that we owe them. The lockdown affected us. It’s a global issue, but still, our boys must be paid.
