We’ll avoid the puns. You’ve had enough now, surely, as Thomas Partey gets ready to make his full Arsenal debut against Rapid Vienna – live on talkSPORT at 5.55pm.
The Ghanaian midfielder was a late substitute against Manchester City at the weekend but now a start for the Gunners beckons in the Europa League.
Manager Mikel Arteta was happy enough with his new signing’s showing on Saturday evening.
“He reacted really well, he came on and look strong and confident [against Man City] and he added something positive to the team,” he said in his pre-match press conference.
“It was a very short turnaround for him since he joined the team, he had a day, a day-and-a-half only in training. He has done a few more training sessions and he looks ready to start.”
It bodes well he’s acclimatising so quickly and a strong showing in Austria might be the perfect way to kick-start his career.
