Reece James who plays as a defender for Premier League side Chelsea has joined the fight against hunger in the United Kingdom by donating £10,000 to London food charity.
The star defender is also said to have promised to raise further £100,000 when he turns 21 on December 8 this year.
James has however joined fellow countryman Marcus Rashford who has also been involved in the fight against child poverty.
He is launching a fundraising page to help the charity with its mission to deliver at least 19 million meals by the end of this year with every £10 donated delivers enough food for 61 meals.
Marcus Rashford on the other hand tried his best during the lockdown to make sure that children in England get free food with the support of the government.
The Manchester United striker recently tabled another proposal to the United Kingdom government for free food to be given to kids which was rejected.
James joined Chelsea at the age of six and started his football career in the youth teams before growing up to enter the main squad.
During the 2018-19 League season, he was at Wigan where he played 45 games scoring three goals before he returned to Stamford Bridge.
He has so far played 29 games for Chelsea and has managed to score one goal.
The Premier League giants got tired of Kepa Arrizbalaga's lackluster performances and they had to spend another money to lure Mendy to Stamford Bridge.
Mark Schwarzer who was one of the best goalkeepers during his time in the Premier League explained that Petr Cech was even better in training than Kepa Arrizabalaga and Caballero.
Cech retired from football at the end of last two seasons playing his last game for Arsenal which ended in a defeat against Chelsea in the Europa League.
