"On Word For This Man", Internet Erupts As A Man Extinguishes Transformer Fire Using Water.
Dec 1, 2020
Fire outbreaks have been rampant in today's world. Mostly fire that destroys a large area is caused by domestic power supply and maybe explosion of gases used for cooking. Fire outbreaks can also be natural, like bush fires and eruption due to volcanic activities.
Some months ago, there was a fire outbreak in Beirut, Lebanon. It was very deadly that it claimed hundreds of lives. It is said to have been caused by 2750 tonnes of Ammonium nitrate, a compound commonly used as an agricultural fertilizer. The compound had been stored at a port warehouse for almost six good years.
This made it very dangerous and explosive as it had absorbed a huge amount of heat. The fire was triggered by workers who were welding at the entrance of the warehouse.
below is a video of the Beirut explosion.
The transformer has more than 240 volts of energy which are completely dangerous to human life and can dry a person up in a blink.
Electric Current affects the body when it flows through. The basic unit of current is the amp. This is the current which flows through a resistance of 1 ohm (Ω) when a voltage of 1 volt is applied across it. However, currents as low as thousandths of amps can have an adverse effect on the body.
Most of us have experienced some form of electric "shock, " where electricity causes our body to experience pain or trauma. If we are lucky enough, the extent of that experience is limited to tingles or jolts of pain from static electricity build up, discharging through our bodies. When we are working around electric circuits, capable of delivering high power to loads, electric shock becomes a much more serious issue, and pain is the least significant result of shock.
