African Jesus: Sad Story Of 25- Year- Old Nigerian Student Who Died During A Fake Attempt To Imitate Jesus Crucifixion
Sep 17, 2023
In a tragic incident on Good Friday, a Nigerian Philosophy student named Suel Ambrose lost his life during a reenactment of Jesus Christ' s crucifixion at the Clariantian University of Nigeria in Nekede. The 25- year- old collapsed and fell during the Passion of the Christ performance, causing people to initially think it was part of the act. However, when Ambrose began to bleed, everyone realized it was a serious situation and he was rushed to the hospital. Despite everyone' s best efforts, he eventually succumbed to his injuries in a Federal Medical Center.
Clariantian University confirmed the incident, and further information was expected to follow. While Jesus' crucifixion is well documented, there is a theory that his cause of death resulted from a separate injury. Rev Prof Patrick Pullicino suggested that Jesus may have died from complications arising from a shoulder wound and being stretched on the cross. The controversial Turin Shroud' s analysis of the shoulder position forms the basis of his hypothesis. His evidence suggests that the subclavian artery was ruptured, leading to blood and water pouring from the body.

The reenactment of Jesus Christ' s crucifixion is a common event during Easter festivities, as it forms a central theme of Christianity' s most sacred holiday. However, the tragic death of Suel Ambrose demonstrates the dangers of such performances. Despite his passing, the incident has rekindled a debate around the nature of Jesus' death and the injuries that he sustained.
