Olumide Oworu is a Nigerian actor, politician, model and rapper who is popularly known for his role as Tari in The Johnsons.

Oworu was born December 11, 1994 in Lagos State, Nigeria where he hails from.

Oworu went to King’s College and later attended the University of Lagos in Nigeria. He completed his studies at Babcock University in June 2017, with a degree in Mass Communication.

Oworu’s journey in the acting industry began when he was only six years old, starring in the TV series Everyday People.

Oworu rose to fame for his exceptional portrayal of Tari in The Johnsons TV series, and went on to showcase his acting skills in other popular TV shows such as The Patriot, The Men In Her Life, Hammer, Stolen Waters, New Son, and MTV Base’s Shuga.

Oworu is a versatile entertainer who has also made a name for himself as a TV presenter.

His talent has earned him numerous awards, including Mr. Popularity at the Model of Africa 2012 contest, Nollywood Revelation of The Year at the Scream Awards 2014, Most Promising Youth Actor at Ping Awards 2014, Most Promising actor at the 2015 Best of Nollywood Awards, and Best Supporting actor for his role in the Soldier’s Story at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
