Elizabeth Oshoba is a Nigerian boxer. She participated in the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the Featherweight division and won a silver medal.
This achievement gave her the name “Nigeria’s Queen of the Rings”.

1. She was born 23 December 1999 to Nigerian parents. Her father is said to be a boxer which inspired her and pushed her to follow her ambition.
2. Her boxing career began by participating in amateur bouts in Ogun State.
3. In 2018, Oshoba, who began boxing at the age of 15, became a professional. Her record is 15 wins, 0 defeats, and 10 knockouts.
4. She won a gold medal for Nigeria at the African Zone 3 Boxing Championships in Cameroon, a 2019 All African Games bronze medal in Morocco, and a 2022 Commonwealth silver medal in the Featherweight division, gaining recognition and laying the groundwork for future success.
5. Oshoba then relocated to the UK in late 2022 to continue her boxing career.
6. She won the International Boxing Organisation (IBO) International championship in November 2023 at Swindon, England, defeating Martina Righi of Italy.
7. The peak of her career occurred in 2024, when she made history by winning the World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Featherweight Championship in Copenhagen making her the first Nigerian female boxer to clinch a world title.
