The combined forces operating under the banner of Operation Hadarin Daji' s joint task force have once again achieved a significant victory, this time in Zamfara State. During a meticulously executed operation in the Dansadau forest of Maru Local Government Area, the troops effectively neutralized 12 terrorists while also recovering a cache of weapons and livestock.

According to Lieutenant Suleiman Omale, the spokesperson for the troops, the operation unfolded in the early hours of Friday. Troops strategically engaged the terrorists in Babban Doka, Gobirawar Challi, and Kabaro axis within Maru Local Government Area, resulting in a fierce confrontation.

Omale emphasized the troops' exceptional bravery as they confronted the criminal elements head- on, ultimately overpowering them and eliminating 12 terrorists. The remaining insurgents fled, sustaining gunshot wounds during the encounter.

Subsequent to the engagement, a thorough mop- up patrol was conducted, yielding significant recoveries. Among the confiscated items were an AK- 47 rifle, a magazine, two rounds of 7. 62mm special ammunition, a locally crafted firearm, a Dane gun, and 18 head of cattle. Additionally, the troops confiscated and destroyed 10 motorcycles belonging to the terrorists, further debilitating their operational capacity.
