Nollywood mourns as top scriptwriter and director, Reginald Ebere reportedly passesaway.

This was revealed in reports which have made the rounds on social media.

One media outlet, Leadership News reports that the veteran movie star, Segun Arinze broke news of Reginald Ebere’s passing on the Nollywood Giants, a WhatsApp platform created for renowned Nigerian entertainers on Sunday, where he was stated to have lamented the painful loss of the screenwriter.

Perekeme Odon, the National Secretary of Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) was reported by Leadership to have also confirmed the sad news.

“We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our dear brother and colleague, Mr. Reginald Ebere,” Perekeme Odon.

It would be recalled that the scriptwriter had been bedridden for some time now and some veteran movie stars had called for donations to be made for his hospital bills.
