Damilola Ogunsi Recounts The Painful Discrimination He Experienced In Nollywood As An Albino Actor ðŸ˜

Nigeria' s movie industry known as Nollywood has evolved over the years since it' s inception. A lot of changes has been witnessed over time compared to how things used to be in the past. In terms of top quality movie productions, they have truly done well for themselves looking at where they are coming from more than two decades ago. Also, acceptance of different individuals in the industry has improved as well.
For instance, Nollywood has witnessed an influx of albinos into the industry over the years unlike the old times. One of the most successful albinos in the Nigeria movie industry is none other than Damilola Ogunsi popularly known as Gold Fish. Damilola is a force to reckon with in the industry at the moment, from his unique look, polished way of speaking English, acting skills, versatility and much more.
He has carved a niche for himself with lots of cinema movies, Netflix, Prime Video, and other international streaming platforms. With hit movies like Gangs of Lagos, Mokalik, Adire and so on, Damilola has left his mark in Nollywood. He also shined through in African Magic original series titled Ajoche, in fact, the series was part of his works that boosted his career.
With all these amazing success recorded by Damilola Ogunsi, he never had it easy as an up comer in the movie industry. During an interview with Deutsche Welle (DW) captured by Pulse Nigeria, the actor revealed what he went through in the hands of filmmakers back in the days. According to him, a director once asked him why he wanted to be an actor, whether he could see any albino in Nollywood.
