There are different types of bumps found in Kenya roads and highways with various variations, including size and shape. Let's have a look at these types of bumps found in roads.
1.Normal Speed bumps.
These are the most common types of bumps found on Kenyan roads and are usually the tallest in terms of height. Basically, they range from 10 to 20 centimetres high. These types of bumps are commonly found near shopping centres and areas where there is a lot of human activity and next to blacks pots where over speeding has been cited as the major cause of accidents.
2.Rumble strips
They are patterns of groves placed on a section of a road, causing a vibration or rumbling effect when a motorist drives on them.
