Fred Enanga bids farewell as police spokesperson, embraces new role

Kampala, Uganda | By Michael Wandati | Fred Enanga, who has served as the Uganda Police Spokesperson for seven years, has officially announced his departure from the role.
Filled with gratitude and a deep sense of national duty, Fred Enanga expressed his heartfelt thanks to those who supported him during his tenure.
Reflecting on his time as Police Spokesperson, Enanga described the position as one of the greatest honors of his life. He acknowledged the guidance and protection of Almighty God, and extended his sincere appreciation to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the police leadership for their unwavering support, teamwork, and trust.
“To all the territorial commanders across all jurisdictions, I thank you for your unwavering commitment to protecting our communities and for upholding the values of integrity, professionalism, and compassion,” Enanga stated.
He emphasized the positive impact of their collective efforts on the safety and well-being of citizens, and appreciated their constant updates on crime and safety.
Fred Enanga also welcomed his successor, ACP Rusoke Kituma, with words of encouragement and advice. He praised Kituma as a “fire brain and performer,” and reminded him of the immense responsibility ahead. “Always act with integrity, and treat every member of the public with respect and compassion,” Fred Enanga advised.
