In a harrowing revelation on Auntie Naa' s Oyerepa Afutuo programme, a 30- year- old Ghanaian woman named Afia shared the painful experience she endured at the hands of her landlord. Afia, a wig seller based in Kumasi, recounted her ordeal to the listeners of Oyerepa FM, exposing the deceit and manipulation she faced.

Afia had rented an apartment from her landlord, whose name has been withheld, for two years. Initially, the relationship between tenant and landlord seemed typical. However, the dynamic changed dramatically when the landlord, who claimed to be a divorcee, professed his love for her. He made grand promises, assuring her that he would extend her rent for an additional three years for free and cover all utility bills. Trusting these assurances, Afia agreed to enter into a romantic relationship with him.

For a brief period, it seemed as though the arrangement might work out. However, the situation took a devastating turn when Afia discovered that her landlord had been living a lie. Contrary to his claims of being divorced, his wife returned to the house, shattering Afia' s trust and exposing the landlord' s deceit. Feeling betrayed and heartbroken, Afia decided to end the relationship and demanded a refund for the remaining two years of her rental agreement.
