Veteran Nollywood actress Binta Ayo Mogaji has recently opened up about her reasons for leaving her 13- year marriage to retired footballer Victor Ayodele Oduleye. In an emotional interview on the ' Talk To Be' podcast with Biola Bayo, Mogaji revealed a troubled and abusive history within their relationship, shedding light on the challenges she faced during their years together.

Mogaji' s candid disclosure comes after she previously revealed having a 20- year- old son with actor Jibola Dabo, whom she referred to as her boyfriend before marrying Oduleye in 2006. This new revelation provides a deeper understanding of the personal struggles she endured, leading to her eventual decision to leave the marriage.

During the podcast, Mogaji shared the harrowing details of her tumultuous journey with Oduleye. She described the initial love they had for each other but revealed that it was marred by physical and emotional abuse. " We fell in love with each other but received beating over any little thing. Even in England the abusive language, the mental torture, the physical abuse, when it gets too much I will advise anybody to get out of that marriage, " she stated.

Mogaji recounted the extent of the abuse, explaining that it became so severe that she would leave the house to avoid being alone with Oduleye. " It got to a stage that when it' s only two of us at home, I do go outside the compound and sit till when someone will come around so that I will not be abused, " she added. Despite enduring 13 years of this tumultuous relationship, Mogaji eventually separated from Oduleye four years ago.
